Sam Roos of previous Mental Notion Society Production, the Russian Play, brings to us a new project entitled “Me & My New Best Friend.” Rooted from the rational that his actual best friend – writing & performing partner, Amy Thompson (of their sketch group, EVIL) will be on leave via Second City Touring Company for 5 months, Sam decided to “try” to fill the void. Thus, Sam begins an 8-week sketch show process with a new person from March till July. Each show will feature a new theme, a new opening act, and all new, original sketches.
In “Me & My New Best Friend,” Sam Roos takes a journey with a new friend every month. Together, they create an original two person sketch show and perform it for one night only. Each month’s show will strive to find unique connections between Sam and His New Best Friend, those things that make them, now, best friends. Featuring a different sketch opener every month!

OPENING NIGHT’S (March 19th) OPENING GROUP IS: One Two, Many
One Two, Many is a sketch show about the wants that drive us; how they can warp our sanity and reality. Adam Archer and Alan Linic present the highs and lows of emotional spectrum and spin them to their most fun potential. The show is in a state of perpetual motion, like trying to get from point A to point B on a merry-go-round.
Prepare to share the feels, the diagnoses, and the beat as this well-oiled machine evolves before your very eyes.
SHOW NUMBER TWO’S (April 30th) OPENING GROUP IS: The Beverly D’Angelo Community Players
The Beverly D’Angelo Community Players are Stephen Kropa and Christopher Woolsey, two men committed to the idea of theatre as a way to bring colour to the world. Together they have shared the stage in two Second City Training Center Writing Six shows, perform on the One Group Mind team Tommy’s Mommies and finished a run of their first revue “Blaque and Bleaux” this past February, 2014. They are currently working on their second revue which will begin in July at The Public House Theatre.
