The Pop Tarts & the MENTAL NOTION SOCIETY are proud to announce that the premiere of the music video, “Cowboy Fantasy” shall be screened on Thursday, September 27, 2012.

As part of the monthly contest, Video Quest, “Cowboy Fantasy” will feature the Pop Tarts [Jennifer Cumberworth & Bente Engelstoft] and the cowboys [Lee Barats, Ben Cook, Sean Cooley, Chris Kervick, & John Ugolini].

The MENTAL NOTION SOCIETY and comedy musical duo, the Pop Tarts, are working together in making the Tart’s first full scale music video!  But we need your help – YES, YOU!, especially if you’re male.

OPEN CASTING CALL:

The Pop Tarts, a two-person musical sketch comedy group, will be filming a music video for their song, “Cowboy Fantasy.”

MENTAL NOTION SOCIETY Productions seek MALES (all ethnicities/race), age range from 18 to 35 yrs old.

Must have blue jeans, tight fit if possible, white t-shirt and/or white ribbed tanktop.  (Cowboy hats are a plus but not required.)  Must be comfortable with body, whatever shape you are, and being shirtless if necessary.  Very very light labor as part of the characters and will most likely get messy.  Extra clothing is encouraged.

AVAILABILITY:  Must be available SATURDAY, SEPT. 8th from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

LOCATION:  Lincoln Park – specific meeting place shall be notified via email.

COMPENSATION:  -food/snacks/drinks during the shoot -exposure to the Chicago comedy community -networking with other actors -And FUN!  What?!  Yes, FUN!

Relaxing meeting with the Pop Tarts today.  The dynamo-duet of Bente and Jen were serving slices of cheese with savory crackers and refreshing, clear water.  As the cat hung on to laptop power chords, an intense brainstorming session was in effect – bringing ideas of shirtless cowboys from the east and leering bandmembers hailing from the west.  A blizzard brainstorm was in motion for their first full-song, all-out, really-real feature length of 1+1/2 minute music video, “Cowboy Fantasy.”  A few action list items included locking in a location (farm) ; and acquiring lots o lots of male friends.

But who are these Pop Tart divas, you ask??  Well (as their bio formulates) -

The Pop Tarts are a mock-British comedy band. Jennifer Cumberworth and Bente Engelstoft play Evelyn and Beatrice, respectively, two internationally famous pop stars who are touring America. When it comes to their music, no topic is off limits, including: Their hatred of extinction, their lust for cowboys and kegel exercises.
